Can i eat a potatoe for breakfast?

with like some veggie soup milk and stuff, i'm just worried it won't be enough calories... i need to gain weight. or would cream of rice work better/
Answer:
No, a potato and soup is a great idea. If you need to add calories, add some sour cream and butter to the potato, or have a cup of cottage cheese on the side. Another way to add calories is to eat two potatoes.
Most cereals only have about 160 calories with milk. I think you will be fine. It's bad to eat a big greasy breakfast anyway.
Potatoes are DELICIOUS for breakfast! My favorite potato breakfast is cold leftover baked potatoes from the night before, served with plenty of sour cream.Fried potatoes are very good, too -- or you could make mashed potatoes into patties and fry them. The real calorie load is not so much in the potatoes as it is in the accompaniments (butter, sour cream, etc.) so pile on the fixings if you look to gain weight.
Actually my nutrition teacher informed me that eggs or potatoes are the world's most perfect food. So on that note I think you are safe.
potatoes are basically starches, which break down into sugers your body uses to function. depending on the size of the potatoe, it should be plenty. aim for one thats a bit bigger than your fist.
potatoes can be full of calories, depending on what you put on them.i think it would be an excellent breakfast
