Can becoming a vegetarian help u lose wieght?

Answer:
The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories then you consume. Loading up on non meat products and food can still create a calorie surpluss. Most calories come from carbs which you will still be consuming. Meat protein is not the problem, overal calorie intake is.
many people who become vegetarian do lose weight, this is largely due to the cut in fat from meat and that most vegetarians tend to eat healthily ie. salads which obviously have less calories than a trip to McD's or a sirloin streak
If you couple the shift to a vegetarian diet with a proper exercise regimen, and eat as a healthy vegetarian (that is, one that doesn't eat cheese pizza every day), you'd definitely lose weight. How much depends on lots different factors though.
For some people obviously however you must be careful in how you do it. Like some people can have problems already they may be unaware of even i.e. diabetic/hypoglycemic and other problems to boot and try to become vegan only adds to the list of problems. Being vegetarian IS NOT for everyone. Everyone's body chemistry is different so as all things it is a delicate matter. I'm sure you have heard that vegetarians/vegans take suppliments like pills for nutrients and or vitamins to make sure they are getting enough B12 as well as other key factors that are found in meat and stuff you are sacrificing out of. In other words take it from me dont get into this JUST to lose weight but do it if you think your body needs it or can handle it. There are many ways to lose weight without becoming vegan/vegetarian. I'm not a doctor though I think it wouldnt be a bad idea to consult one. while your at it google vegetarian too see the lifestyle changes you would have to make. Ask yourself if your prepared for the step.
Not nessasarily, there are many factors in losing weight.
