Can I loose weight if I ride my bmx bike for 30 minutes a day?

Answer:
If the question is CAN- then the answer is yes.
If the question is WILL YOU- then it depends.
Biking for 30 minutes a day burns less calories then you think. But if you are sedatary (don't exercise ever) then the change will definately HELP.
Its all about calories in vs. calories out. If you're eating more then you burn, then you will gain weight. No matter how much you exercise. Hell, if you sat on your butt all day long but never ate a thing except an apple a day, you'd loose weight. Calories in vs. Calories out.
Now, I don't know what shape you are in, but muscle weighs THREE TIMES more then fat. So you don't really want to loose weight. You want to loose fat. So cardio is what burns calories (note its only cardio if your bike riding is getting your heart rate up, if you're sitting on your bike while it rolls down hill, you won't loose a pound), weight training is what keeps/builds muscles. So you need to lift weights. If you don't have access to weights, you can always do things such as squats, push ups, wall sits, as they are very effective strength training exercises.
A couple tips:
When people work out, they tend to eat more. Just remember walking for 30 minutes doesn't even burn off the calories in a can of pop! Don't think you can eat more because you started working out.
You may have days where you loose nothing, then gain five pounds, then loose it all then some- our bodies are made mostly of water... so 1stly, make sure you're drinking plenty, and 2ndly, remember that your weight may be dependent on that so weigh yourself in the morning right after you pee but before you drink any more water. Keep your weighing times consistent.
Lastly, its a LIFESTYLE, not a one time thing. You can exercise big one day, then not for a week, and it will not change a thing! Make sustainable changes, don't say "I'm not going to eat chocolate ever" because if chocolate is your favorite food, then you will fail because eventually you have to eat chocolate. So, make goals you can keep, like, that you plan on getting in cardio three times a week. Saying you'll do cycling daily... I know for me, things come up, some days I don't get to the gym... to stay fit its a life style. The 'I'll diet tomorrow' mentality is how people stay fat forever.
of course. :) very good cardio workout
nope. try crack. just kidding just wanted the points
If it is helping you to burn more calories than you consume, yes. But if it makes you hungry and you eat more as a result, you won't lose any weight.
Yes but you also have to eat right. Stop eating sweets and candybars, butter, mayonaze and potato and corn chips. Eat lean foods and excersize and you will drop fat.
Depends, if you have not done this before then most likely, yes, but if you did, maybe not; it may take more then 30 minutes to do this, if you are trying to loose weight, I recommend diet, more
exercise, and less junk(if you eat junk food).
yes as long as you don't eat fatty foods.
I would say definately! Just make sure you're peddeling and not coasting
Hardly. Leave the bike alone and walk. It's better for you. You'll burn more calories by walking.
