Can I "train" my body to be full with just a little amount of food?

My digestive system seems to be genetically engineered to be full only after eating countless tons of food. Is there any (non-surgical) way I could "train" my body to be full with just a tiny amount of food?
Answer:
Actually its a question of what you eat, when you snack or eat make sure you have a balanced snack ensuring that you consume Carbs, Protiens and Fats. Quite frankly a small amount of fat will help trigger a full feeling. Also make sure you eat smaller meals more often. Another words move away form the traditional 3 meals a aday to 5 -6 smaller meals a aday, This will help you maintain a fuller feeling through out the day. As well as help maintain a more constant blood sugar level. Its not about depriving yourself of foods, or eating a special diet, its about knowing how to and when to eat healhty foods. Carbs alone do not trigger a full feeling. Remember back when you demolish a big bag of chips and an hour later you are still hungry. Or a good example is Chinese foods. Chinese foods are very high in carbs, rice, veggies and sweet type dishes. You eat like a horse, an hour later you are hungry again. Not to say you should avoid Chinese foods. But learn how to eat healthy with well balanced meals, 5 - 6 times per day and you will do well.Harry

yep you starve yourself for a couple of days and your stomach shrinks,
also drink water to fill up japanese only eat untill 80% full , try it it doesnt take lonk after a meal to then feel full
Yes you can ,,
keep reducing the amount of diet
if u feel hungry ear more often but smaller amount
this would make ur stomach shrink,,
best of luck
Hi, yes your body does adjust to smaller amounts in a very short amount of time (a few days) The hard part is getting through those few days without giving in to temptation. Some things that have helped me:
1) Calorie count to about 1200calories a day
2) Cut down on refined grains and sugar and make sure to get enough proteinAfter the body has adjusted you start to feel full when you get to the end of your daily calorie limit in my experience.
it takes 20 minutes for ur stomach 2 tell ur brain u ate
This needs a lot of practise.First you must cut down your food intake slowly and after a little while you will yourself feel that your diet has decreased. But this process will take time at least 3 months.
I'd like an answer to this too...and starving yourself for a few days doesn't work, the only thing starving yourself does, is cause the body to hold on to everything you eat when you start eating again, and stores it as fat because it thinks there's no food left in the world, and it prepares for the next round of fasting.I have never experienced the sensation of being "full".I can eat and eat, but I won't get "full", but eventually I'll get bored with eating and stop.I've also tried drinking around 5 liters of water a day, and large amounts of water before, during, and after meals, none of which works.
