Can taking fiber help you lose weight?

because i've been trying to lose and i was wondering if its my metabolism thats causing my weight problems...pls answerthanks alot bye
Answer:
Fiber won't increase your metabolism really. But exercise will! There is no 1 way to lose weight, it is a combination.Fiber alone won't make you lose weight - it seems your looking for an easy way to lose weight, when it's not really easy for everyone.
If you consume 35 grams of fiber every day you can loose 10 pounds in one year. that is fat loss.
No. Fiber keeps our bodies regular, but does not boost metabolism. Try drinking unsvweetened green tea and exercising. Also, drink two gallons of cold water a day.
The advantage of fiber in weight loss is that it tends to keep you filled up over time. However, taking it as an additive (like Metamucil) doesn't help. The link below includes a lot of high fiber foods (and you will note they are also low in calories).
fiber is good for your digestive track,so if your bowels are working good, then you could lose the weight.
Fiber, supplements, etc... will not help you lose weight, but they are good boosts for a healthy diet. exercise is always the key. You don't have to workout for 2 hours everyday to lose weight, just make a few minor changes. Walk if your destination is a short distance away. walk for 10 - 15 minutes when you are on break at work or on lunch. Find a hobby that gets you outside more and moving around. If you are already doing all these things then adding a little something to the mix like fiber will help. Here is a link to jigsawhealth: http://www.jigsawhealth.com/learning.asp... I found a lot of good info there and I think you will too. I hope this helps!
