That answer cannot be answered percise because everyone is physically different. I'm not saying it isn't possible but if you do workout a lot and eat correctly. It possible you could lose that much weight.

Can this count as an exercisese that raises my heart rate?

I asked a question just a few minutes ago about weight loss. One answer I got was somebody who suggested that in order to lose weight, i should do an exercise at least 3 times a week that raisses my heart rate for about 30 minutes..I know this is going to sound silly but...
For example, I spent from 8am-12pm cleaning my house yesterday. Vacuuming, moving things around, standing up on chairs to dust over door ways. (doing some REAL spring cleaning!!)... After just an hour of cleaning, i was sweating and i could feel my heart pumping.
would activity such as this count towards rasing my heart rate for 30 minutes? even though its not real exercises like the ones at the gym/walking/running/etc...

Our bodies are designed to be self repairing, and are made up of building blocks which include vitamins, minerals, proteins and amino acids. There is a lot of missing info to completely answer your question, but here is an opinion. First it is really great that you want to start a fitness program. I think though, that you might want to consider that "getting pumped over a Summer" is not a good goal. I think you should set your goal to initiate and manage a longer term fitness program. At your age, you will definitely see progress and lots of that will appear early in your program. For example, if you stay with it for two weeks you might notice a boost in energy, better sleep ( which you need a lot of at this time in your life) and a boost in confidence. After three - four weeks, you will start really missing your program if something keeps you away. That's right -- the excercise becomes an important element in your life -- one that you will start to desire and need. Your question didn't mention whether you have equipment at home or whether you intend to use a fitness center. I recommend the latter if you can do it, but it isn't required to get a great program going and there are a lot of equipment free routines that you can do, and you can even make some equipment of your own.
I was badly overweight when I started a program (which started much later in life than you are considering). It was embarassing for me to go to the gym...at least I thought it would be. But when I overcame that hurdle, it was great to learn that many of the people I encountered were in a similar situation and were there to do something about it. At my age (60 when I started) I thought the fitness club would be a younger scene. It's true in some ways but I have met and enjoyed talking with people of all ages. There is an almost instant connection with the people there that really creates a friendly and helpful environment. Now get this, I even learned to enjoy hip hop and techno music (favorite background choices due to the energetic nature. I've never heard of this mixture being good for anything except in a baking recipe. I assume that one is supposed to consume honey %26 cinnamon in copious amounts to lose weight?? Well, I very much doubt that it will work and in fact you might gain weight instead. Honey, although it is healthier than refined white sugar, it is still sugar. Its chemical composition with respect to carbohydrates is mostly fructose and glucose, with some maltose, sucrose and other complex carbohydrates. So large amounts of this stuff will not be good for you. What makes it "healthier" is that honey also contains vitamins, minerals and some antioxidants.With regard to acne and medicinal uses, Wikipedia says that honey has an antiseptic effect and can work like hydrogen peroxide. So you might be able to apply it topically and it may fight the bacteria that is causing acne on your skin. But at the same time the sugar might feed the bacteria and the sticky honey might clog your pores. Basically, it's a 3-year contract. You have to pay every month, for 3 years...even if you stop going. If you're an avid gym person, it should work for you. But if you tend to go and stop going, then you might want to think twice.They often run specials, which is why they don't post prices on their Web site. They would rather you come in to hear their promotion of the week specials, because chances are greater that you'll sign up. You will basically end up paying anywhere from $30-$40 a month (for 3 years), with anywhere from $5.00 down to $150.00 down...it all just depends on what the special is that week. It will also depend on whether you want membership that includes all their clubs, clubs within a 25-mile radius of where your home club is, or membership that only allows you entrance to your home club (this one is the cheapest). Once you've fulfilled your contract, you will then go month to month for anywhere from $14.00 - $20.00 a month, again, depending on what kind of deal they're offering.Hope this helps...
